
How many Currencies in ECC and S4 Hana, follows
In ECC we can define maximum 3 currencies
- Currency type 10 – Company code currency.
- Currency type 30 – Group currency.
- Currency type 40 – Hard currency.
In S4 Hana we can define maximum 10 currencies
The following are the standard currency types in SAP.

Explanation
- Currency type 00 – Document currency – Basically this is not a configuration. This will come when we post financial entry.
- Currency type 10 – Company code currency – This we will maintain in company code.
- Currency type 20 – Controlling area currency – This we will maintain in the controlling area.
- Currency type 30 – Group currency – This we will maintain at client level.
- Currency type 40 – Hard currency.
- Currency type 50 – Index based currency.
- Hard currency and Index based will be maintained where the countries facing inflation.
- Currency type 60 – Global currency (Company currency) – This we will maintained in the company – OX15.
- Currency type 70 – Controlling object currency.
The currency types company code currency(10) and controlling area currency(20) should be SAP predefined currency types.
