How to Create the Cost Center in SAP

How to Create the Cost Center in SAP, using T code: KS01.

Cost Center: It is an organizational unit within controlling area and it manages costs associated with a specific functional area, department, or activity for internal reporting purpose (As it only captures the costs). Cost element will help here to integrate the CO with FI module.

SAP Controlling – Cost Center Accounting: Click here

SAP Easy Access: SAP Menu -> Accounting -> Controlling -> Cost Center Accounting -> Master Data -> Cost Center -> Individual Processing – Double Click on Create

Popup will come, Give Controlling Area and click on continue button.

Give Cost Center, Valid from and to. and Click on Master Data.

Basic Data Tab – Give details like below and click on Control Tab.

If we maintain cost center hierarchy, means this cost center will be created under this group or hierarchy.

Control Tab – Select the required fields and click on click on Address Tab.

Address Tab – Give all the details which represents Cost center address.

Click on Save button.
