How to Create Global Report Layout in SAP S4 HANA.

In this blog, we’ll guide you through creating a Global Report Layout accessible to all users for Vendor Open Items using T-code FBL1N. This tutorial is versatile and can be applied to create Global Report Layouts for any SAP S/4HANA report.

What is Global Report Layout?

Note that Standard Global Layouts are visible to all the users and the layout name should start with special character ‘/ ‘ .

Go to T code: FBL1N.

Give Vendor account number, Company code and click on Execute button.

The report is currently displayed with the standard layout. However, the user also requires an additional fields, ‘ Company code’, ‘Document Currency’ and ‘Payment term’, to be included in the report layout.

Now that we’ve customized the layout, let’s make it accessible to all users by creating a Global Layout.

Let’s create the Global/all user layout.

Click on “Change layout” icon.

A popup will appear. Analyze this screen to identify which fields are currently included in the standard report and which ones, such as ‘ Company code’, ‘Document Currency’ and ‘Payment term’, are missing.

Now select the line from the right side (Hidden fields) and also select the line from left side (Where we want that new field) and then click on “Show selected field” icon.

You can add several fields from the hidden fields simultaneously. Lets add all 3 fields as per requirement.

1. Let us add field “Document currency”.

2. Let us add field “Company code”.

3. Let us add field “Terms of payment”.

Lastly click on copy.

The updated layout now appears as follows, with the newly added fields.

Now we need to save this layout.

Click on ‘save layout’ icon.

A popup window will appear.

Give Layout name – /SAP96 (Name should start with special character ‘ / ‘), No tick mark for “User specific”, Description and then click on save button.

Finally, the layout saved successfully.
