How to Open MM posting periods in SAP S4 HANA

How to Open MM posting periods in SAP S4 HANA.

Scenario: In this blog, we are going to open the MM posting period (April).

1. T code: MMRV – Display Materials Management (MM) Posting periods.
2. T code: MMPV – Open MM Posting periods.

1. How to Display MM Posting periods:

Go to T code: MMRV.

Give company code and press enter button.

The system is currently showing two open MM posting periods.

• Current period -> 03-2025 (March)
• Previous period -> 02-2025 (Feb)

Now we are in April period but it is not opened yet. In this blog we are going to open the April.

2. How to Open MM posting periods

Go to T code: MMPV.

Give the Company code, posting period (To be opened), year.

Select the radio button for “Check and close period”

Click on Execute.

Period: 04/2025 is opened successfully.

Let us check the posting periods opened in T code: MMRV
