What is Valuation Class in SAP S4 HANA.

Meaning: Valuation class means it tell us the state of the group of similar products, making it easier to manage inventory, set prices, and make decisions. Purpose, as the valuation class is a key component in the material master, it captures accounting values based on the OBYC configuration settings.

Few examples for standard valuation classes are:

Valuation ClassDescription

7900WIP (Semi finished goods)

Let us create our own valuation classes based on standard val. classes.

Go to T code: OMSK.

Click on “Valuation class” button.

Now select the lines based on our above table and click on copy icon.

Click on save button.
