How to Generate Cost Center Report in SAP – KSB1

Learn how to generate detailed cost center reports using T-code KSB1 in SAP. This transaction provides line item-level visibility into all actual postings made to a cost center, including expenses, internal allocations, reposting’s, and settlements. KSB1 is essential for cost center accountants, controllers, and finance teams to analyze cost flows, validate entries, and support month-end reporting.

Scenario: Post a vendor invoice using T-code FB60 with a primary cost element (GL 400001) and Cost Center 1000. Then, verify the cost posting in the cost center report using T-code KSB1.

Step by step guide:

  • Generate Cost center Report

Post an FI transaction to the primary cost element/cost center using T-code FB60.

Go to T code: KSB1.

Note: You can Generate Reports in four ways:

  • Cost Center vs Cost Element
  • Cost Center Group vs Cost Element
  • Cost Center vs Cost Element Group
  • Cost Center Group vs Cost Element Group

Now enter the required inputs such as Controlling AreaCost Center (Sender) or Cost Center Group, and Cost Element or Cost Element Group (Primary cost elements), then click the Execute button.

Click on Execute button.

As we can see the report, the costs has been captured by cost center 1000.
