How to create a SET using T code: GS01 in SAP.
SET Meaning: In SAP, a “set” refers to a collection of objects, such as tables, fields, or data elements, that are grouped together for a specific purpose. Examples for, where sets can be used.
- Table sets
- Field sets
- Data element sets
- Authorization sets
- Sets for validation and substitution
In this blog, I will explain how to create a set for 3 GL accounts.
SAP Easy Access: SAP Menu -> Accounting -> Financial Accounting -> Special purpose ledger -> Tools -> Set Maintenance -> Sets -> Double click on Create.

Give Set name, Table name of the functionality(Here in this blog explained about GL master at company code level) and press enter.

Popup will come, give Technical name of the field and click on continue.
Example: GL Account number’s technical field name is “SAKNR”.

Now give the list of General ledger Accounts at one place.
How it will work, For instance: Validation, user wants profit center field as mandatory for set of 100 GL accounts irrespective of account group.
Click on save button.

Set created for few GL Accounts.
