How to Define Depreciation areas for each Asset class in SAP S4 HANA.
In this blog, we are defining depreciation area for 3 Asset classes only(Land, Building, AUC assets).
Go to T code: OAYZ.

Popup will come, give chart of depreciation and click on continue button.

Select the Land Asset Class line and click on Depreciation areas.

Here the asset class is Land.
Land is not subject to depreciation. So give the tick mark for “Area Deactivation”.
Click on save button.

Now customizing request prompt will come, select your request and click on continue.

Now time for Building asset class.
Select the Building asset class line and click on Depreciation areas.

Give the Screen layout (Standard Dep area screen layout is 1000) and Remove the tick for Area Deactivation.

Click on save.

Now customizing request prompt will come, select your request and click on continue.

AUC Asset Class.
Select the AUC asset class line and click on Depreciation areas.

AUC is not subject to depreciation until it becomes full/completed asset. So give the tick mark for “Area Deactivation”.
Click on save button.

Now customizing request prompt will come, select your request and click on continue.
