How to Create Asset Master Record in SAP S4 HANA – AS01

How to Create Asset Master Record in SAP S4 HANA, using T code: AS01.

Meaning: Asset Master Record, that stores comprehensive information about a company’s fixed assets. This record contains essential details such as asset number, description, class, type, acquisition date, value, depreciation method, useful life, location, and responsible person/department.

SAP Easy Access Path – Accounting -> Financial Accounting -> Fixed Assets -> Asset -> Create -> Double click on Asset.

Go to T code: AS01.

Give Asset Class, Company code and click on Master Data.

Give the required details like below.

Note:

• Capitalized on date – This date will be displayed when the asset purchased
• Deactivation date – This date will be displayed when asset master becomes zero balance due to asset sale or scrap or transfer fully.

Time-dependent – Give all the required data.

Assignments – Give all the required data.

Asset super number: Several assets can assigned to an asset super number for consolidation report purpose.

Origin Tab – Give all the required data (This tab allows to maintain the Asset History).

Depreciation Areas – Maintain the Depreciation key, Asset useful life etc.

Click on save button.

The asset now created.
