How to Assign the Profit Center to Cost Center in SAP S4 HANA.
- Cost Center: It is an organizational unit within controlling area and it manages costs associated with a specific functional area, department, or activity for internal reporting purpose (As it only captures the costs). Cost element will help here to integrate the CO with FI module.
- Profit Center: A Profit Center is an organizational unit within a Controlling Area that manages costs and revenues. This allows for decentralized responsibility and profitability analysis, enabling better decision-making and control.
We will assign a Profit Center to the Cost Center to accurately capture, allocate, and track costs.
Go to T code: KS02.

Give Cost center and click on Master data.

Now give the Profit Center.

Click on save button.

Cost center has been changed.
