How to Assign Cost Element to Cost Center in SAP ECC.
Cost Center: It is an organizational unit within controlling area and it manages costs associated with a specific functional area, department, or activity for internal reporting purpose (As it only captures the costs).
Cost Element: It is an organizational element, which helps to carry or integrate the costs or revenues of CO with finance module.
Go to T code: KA02.

Popup will be appeared, give controlling area and click on continue button.

Now give the Cost element and then click on Master data button.

Default Account Assignment Tab: Give Cost center.

Click on save button.

Cost element has been changed.
