How to Import LSMW in SAP
Scenario: To carry out cutover activities (Like Master data and Transactional data) in the Production system, the consultant created and successfully tested an LSMW in the Quality server. The consultant now has the exported LSMW file and is ready to import it into the Production system.
Go to T code: LSMW
A popup will appear; click the “Continue” button.
👉 Now, follow the path: Extras → Import Projects.
A file dialog will appear on your desktop. Select the exported file from the source server (Export file) and click the Open button.
Simply grant access to the uploaded file.
Click on continue.
Note: The LSMW has already been imported into the production system. If a consultant later identifies that changes are needed in the LSMW structure (e.g., in the subproject or object), they can make the necessary adjustments in the quality system. Once finalized, the updated LSMW can be re-imported into production, and the SAP system will overwrite the old version with the new one.
Click on the ‘Import‘ icon.
A confirmation popup will appear in SAP, indicating that the LSMW has been imported successfully.
