How to Create Sub Asset Master Record in SAP S4 HANA, using T code: AS11.
Meaning: Sub – Asset Master Record, that stores comprehensive information about a company’s fixed assets. This record contains essential details such as asset number, description, class, type, acquisition date, value, depreciation method, useful life, location, and responsible person/department. This blog provides a step-by-step guide on creation of sub asset master record.
Example:
- Main Asset: Building (Asset Number: 11001)
- Sub-Assets:
- First floor (Sub-Asset Number: 11001-00)
- Second floor (Sub-Asset Number: 11001-01)
SAP Easy Access Path – Accounting -> Financial Accounting -> Fixed Assets -> Asset -> Create -> Sub number – Double click on Asset.
Go to T code: AS11.
Give Asset number, Sub asset number, Company code and click on “Master data” button.
Give the required details like below.
Notes:
- Capitalized On Date: Reflects the acquisition date of the asset.
- Deactivation on: Appeared when the asset balance is becomes zero after transferred or sold or scrapped fully.
Time-dependent – Give all the required data.
Assignments – Give all the required data.
Asset super number: Several assets can be assigned to an asset super number for consolidation report purpose.
Origin Tab – Give all the required data (This tab allows to maintain the Asset History).
Depreciation Areas Tab – Maintain the Depreciation key, Asset useful life etc.
Click on save button.
The asset is created.
