How to Create Asset Class in SAP S4 HANA, using T code: OAOA.
Asset Class: An asset class represents a grouping of similar types of fixed assets, enabling standardized accounting, reporting, and management practices. Asset classes categorize assets based on their characteristics, functionality, or depreciation methods. By grouping assets into classes, organizations can simplify reporting, apply uniform depreciation methods etc.
In this blog we create 3 different asset classes – Land, Building, AUC assets.
SPRO Path – Reference IMG -> Financial Accounting -> Asset Accounting -> Organizational Structures -> Asset Classes -> Define Asset Classes – Click on Execute.

Click on New Entries.

Land Asset Class.
Give Asset class Name, Description, Account Determination, Screen Layout Rule, Number Range, Select radio button for “No AUC”.

Click on next page icon to Create Building asset class.

Building Asset Class.
Give Asset class Name, Description, Account Determination, Screen Layout Rule, Number Range, Select radio button for “No AUC”.

AUC Asset Class.
Give Asset class Name, Description, Account Determination, Screen Layout Rule, Number Range, Select radio button for “Line item settlement”.

Click on save button.

Now customizing request prompt will come, select your request and click on continue.

Data was saved.
